Legend (2.0)
Legend can be viewed two ways.
Either its a song written from the perspective of a godess or it’s just an arrogant, delusional song. Either way it was meant to be the intro track for Josephine’s album “Call me crazy” she started planning in 2020.
“I didn’t feel skilled enough yet to make a full album and decided to release the songs as singles instead, hoping to improve my craft with each release.”
The original Legend was written in 2020 and released in 2021. In 2024 the song was picked up again for a revisit, with the prospect of liveshows in mind. It wasn’t further refined until 2025.
“I started rewriting Legend in a period where I got a lot of online criticism, the same period that my song Butterflies came into existence, it brought new life to this song as well”
Now Legend paints the picture of someone who’s misunderstood. “I know you try to paint me as something I’m not, but I’ll let my lyrics speak for themselves”.
